Church Picnic

Today my church (Christ Community Church of the South Hills or CCCSH) had our annual church picnic. It was awesome. When we first arrived everyone gathered to talk, socialize and eat appetizers. Then a softball game started, and that was hilarious. The teams consisted of athletic, nonathletic, serious, and ...nonserious...unserious people. Of course the athletic people, like the Timm family dominated, but by the end of the game I don't even know which team won, it was just too much fun cheering to keep score! Then it came time to eat, and so everyone gathered around and ate, and all the food was of course wonderful!

After eating came the "rug toss"...now I was a bit curious what the rug toss was... (It turned out to be a sort of recruitment, apparently whenever our church puts all our 'stuff' like chairs and items like that, there is a rug that needs to be thrown on top of a cabinet. So the concept was to see who was able to throw the rug over something that was as high as the cabinet. And watching everyones efforts was very enjoyable. I have to say that it was definately one of the highlights of the picnic. After that waterballoons were brought out, and after a little game that the kids played everyone ganged up on Terry Timm (out pastor)...that also was a highlight, I don't think I've ever seen Terry run that fast LOL! After the waterballoons the picnic sort of hit a lul, everyone started leaving. But overall the picnic was fun, funny, and a great success. Although sometime during the picnic I was stung by a bee...but oh well!
