FBLA

This is my second year as a member of FBLA. For last years competition I was in the Public Speaking competition. I didn't do as well as I would have liked last year. This year, however, I was pretty happy with my performance. This year I chose the Computer Applications competition. Computer Applications is a two part competition. I took the first part a few days ago, it was a two hour long test that involved making things on the computer. The part I took today was a 100 question multiple choice test. Todays part was far harder...I wasn't aware that I would need to know stuff about hardware/software and RAM and other computer stuff, I thought it would just be like my computer applications class was, learning about powerpoint, word, access and excell. Anyways I was pretty nervous when they were announcing the awards but I was extremely happy to find out that I had received 2nd place!!!!

Only the 1st and 2nd place people get to go to States so that means I am off to Hershey! I was one of 2 people from Bethel Park to place. The other boy that won can not go to states because it is at the same time as the band trip so it will be just me! I think thats kind of funny and scary and all in all it will be very interesting!

States will be sometime in April I think so Wish me Luck!
