Christmas Music

There are three types of people in the world:
  1. Those that Love Christmas Music all year long, in January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, and December.
  2. Those that Like Christmas Music but only near Christmas, like only in December, maybe November or January, but not the end of January.
  3. and Those that do not like Christmas Music at all.

I am most definitely the 1st of those three. I LOVE Christmas Music. I love the hope that the music inspires, and I love what it celebrates. Some of teh best music in the world is Christmas Music. My parents are more the second type. They like Christmas Music, but they are easily annoyed when I start playing it in September. I don't think I know anyone that fits in the 3rd section, but I'm sure they exist, perhaps non-christians, or people that celebrate Kwanzaa, or Hanukkah. I don't think I could ever understand people in the 3rd section. People in the 2nd section can like Christmas Music only arond Christmas and I am fine with that, as long as that doesn't restrict when I listen to it.

(You may be wondering why this was even brought up in the first place, well that is simple. I was sitting here blogging, and I was playing music, I was using Windows Media Player, and I just had it open to my entire library, I started listening to one group and then just was letting all the tracks in my library play, eventually I got to 'Point of Grace' which is a great band, I love their music, I have their Christmas CD and that music came on, it made me very happy, but I realized it was a good thing Mark was already in bed, he hates it when I listen to Christmas Music before Thanksgiving. After Thanksgiving he is fine with it just not before.)

Maybe I'm just altogether in Love with Christmas, I suppose when I reflect it is my favorite holiday, I set up a little Christmas tree in my room it is about 2-3 feet tall and I put it on my desk, I put colored lights and a few ornaments on it. It is directly above our big Christmas tree so sometimes from outside looking in the window it could appear that we just have a very tall tree. I love having the tree up, the lighs are pretty and they make me happy. Although when it gets to be near my birthday people start to hint more and more that I should take it down...I don't want it down. I would be happy with a year-round Christmas tree.

One year Mark took the tree down while I wasn't home...that made me very sad, I don't remember if I yelled at him for it or not, if I didn't yell I may have cried. It made me awfully sad. He hasn't taken my tree down since then.

Now you may still be asking why I am writing about Christmas in July. Well if you are one of the people asking that you are certainly either type two or three!

Luv ya all!

I totally agree with Andrea's comment. I would say I'm a 1.5. Christmas music is infused in me from about Thanksgiving to my birthday, but after a few months, I usually start humming it randomly around May. And then I can never get it out again! LOL!
