Startling Question

The media, the driving force of so many notions about how life should be. Movies, songs, books, magazines, all talking about what the 'normal' world is like, you know the whole thing about the dating scene. How many teens do u know that haven't been on a date, or at least been asked out. I, as you all probably know, don't have a boyfriend, and generally i'm content not dating. Of course I have my moments where i would love to be doing what all my friends are, but i'm friends with lots of guys. I don't consider myself in a great need of a boyfriend. But something my little sister said to me today sort of hit me in a weird way. I have two little sisters one is 9 the other is 5. We were at the mall and I was sitting in the food court with my five year old sister. We were watching people walk by, and seeing groups of people that were dating and whatnot. And my sister turned to me and said..."Laurel when are you going to find a boyfriend?"...and I was a bit shocked. So I asked "Do you think I need a boyfriend?" and she replied instantly "Yes"...Does it become a bit sad, and depressing when my five year old sister thinks that I need a boyfriend. She is five! And she thinks that I need a boyfriend. Well I'm still in shock a bit but whatever. I think that until my parents, or my other sister start asking me when I'm going to find a boyfriend I think i'll be okay.

Luv ya all!

Hmm... so I'm going to have to convince your other sister that you need a boyfriend, eh? Well, I guess I can do that over Christmas break.

BTW, what's this about not staying in Erie after the baby shower? I was all looking forward to hanging out with you, having finished reading my book for my term paper at 15:58. Grr.
