Last Friday I had agreed to babysit a 3 year old boy while his grandmother was playing tennis. I agreed rather half-heartedly. It isn't really my favorite thing to get up in the morning and go to the park to chase after a 3 year old boy. (You may be thinking at least he isn't a terrible two...but he had just turned 3 a week or so before so I wasn't quite sure he would be out of that stage.)
My mother dropped Leah and I off. Leah had nothing to do so she got to come to the park as well. We met the little boy there. His name is Nick. Nick is a very talkative little boy. He immediately burst into conversation with us and he didn't stop talking until we left.
He was funny when he talked. He could not pronounce the 's' sound at the beginning of words. This was interesting because he had a spongebob character with him. He lovingly called it his bongebob...or his baby. He also told me about us wimming lessons at the wimming pool. He told me a lot about wimming, he said the same things over and over again.
I was thankful that he was talkative and not a bad kid. He liked to run a little but not too much. We played on the 'wings' and the 'wides' (swings and the slides), and the other equipment at the park. We visited the 'wimming pool' and the ice rink. Leah and Nick played some video games too.
At one point we were racing down a hill to the 'wimming pool' and at the bottom of the hill Nick looked up at me and said "When you run your boobies go up and down." then he continued talking about the 'wimming pool'.
I was shocked...my reply "....yeah..." (in a very shy and shocked voice). This kid is 3 for goodness sake.
I told my mother what Nick had said and she laughed so hard her face turned pink. That was the point where she insisted that I write about this. Anyways I really enjoyed watching Nick, he was an adorable little boy, even though he said some shocking things.

They are always the same, guys, no matter the age.
Maybe as he gets older, he'll learn tact next. Then again, maybe not.
i was babysitting once and picked up the youngest one (i think he was 3)- and he actually grabbed my breasts and told me very matter of factly:
"these are your breasts!"
he kept doing it every time i picked him up, so i pretty much stopped doing that.
the best part is that i think he's a junior in high school now :)
