Walt Disney World

Now I realize that writing about each day would be way too long, so I will show you a schedule of which park we went to on which days, and then I'll describe all of the parks and I'll show the pictures on the way! Does that sound all fine and dandy? Wonderful! Now I shall begin!

Wednesday: Magic Kingdom
Thursday: MGM
Friday: Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom
Saturday: EPCOT
Sunday: Magic Kingdom
Monday: Animal Kingdom, MGM
Tuesday: EPCOT
Those were the days that we went to each park. The weather was beautiful everyday accept Tuesday. It poured on Tuesday, and we got soaked, this cut our day short because we would have gone back to the Magic Kingdom after EPCOT, but I am getting ahead of myself.
To begin, I must say, The Magic Kingdom is my favorite park. I like all of the parks, but the Magic Kingdom is my favorite. I love the atmosphere at the Magic Kingdom. Of course everyone knows about Cinderella's Castle, but the entire park is based off of the Disney stories. MGM has some Disney things, but it is more of a general park, they have lots of things from movies but not necessarily the Disney movies, the Animal Kingdom obviously has lots of animals, and they are starting to incorporate more rides too. EPCOT, which stands for: Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow, they have the big ball, and then also the countries which can be fun for lots of good shopping.
So, like I said The Magic Kingdom was my favorite, I loved seeing all of the characters dressed up, Leah and I bought an autograph book and we went around and got some of the characters to sign the book, and then we had our pictures taken with them, Stephanie wasn't as in to that as Leah and I were so she didn't really come with us to get her picture taken or to have the characters sign. But she was there the one morning when we had a character breakfast and got pictures with the characters from Winnie the Pooh.
I also really like the parade and the shows that they have at the Magic Kingdom. The parade is fun because the music is good and you get to see all of the prince's and princesses and I love the shows because they are all about dreams and wishes and the power of good vs. evil. I love that stuff. When we saw the one show Mark asked my mom if it would be another dreams and wishes thing, he sounded exasperated but I was like YES! IT IS! I was very excited while I was at that park. And of course we liked the rides too, the Mad Tea Party ride was a big hit. You get to sit in teacups that move around this big teapot and while it's moving you can spin this wheel in the center and then your individual teacup spins around.
We also liked the rides that you sat in a little car and they took you through the story. The Snow White ride, for example, you sit in a mining car and you go through the story. The Peter Pan ride you sit in a ship. And The Pooh Bear ride you sit in a honey pot. Of course we had to go on the It's a Small World Ride, Mark isn't extremely fond of this ride because they play the same song over and over again, but I really like it, it's cool seeing the dolls and landscapes from the different places.
One of our favorite things to do was to go see the Mickey's Philharmagic 3-D show. You sit in an auditorium and plot is that Mickey is going to conduct the orchestra but Donald puts on the magic hat before Mickey gets there, even though Mickey told him not to, and then Donald tries to conduct and it sounds horrible so he gets mad at the instruments and they all rebel against him. So then the hat comes off and he ends up in scenes from different Disney movies trying to get the hat back, it is really cute seeing all the different parts of the movies, and it is cute seeing people that reach out trying to grab stuff, even though they know it isn't really there. In the end Mickey gets the hat and plays a little bit with the orchestra. It is very cute and funny, and it was the first time we had seen it but while we were there I think we saw it 3 times.

Our favorite from last time we were there was another favorite this time too, it was the Buzz Lightyear ride. You sit in a space car and you have to shoot at things that have a 'Z' on them because the are the sign of the evil emperor Zurg. In the end you have defeated Zurg and you get a score for how well you shot, I was the all-time reigning champion, with the high score of over 400,000 points.

The Pirates of the Carribbean ride was awesome too, they added Captain Jack sparrow in three places and it looked just like him, it was incredible, I loved it! We got one good picture of it, but the other two didn't turn out too well.

Throughout this trip we forced Stephanie and Leah on rides that they didn't particularly want to go on, knowing that they wouldn't think the rides were too bad, for example the haunted house, Leah didn't want to go on it, we told her it was fine, she went and didn't think it was that scary.

Both Leah and Steph were willing to ride on Thunder Mountain Railroad rollercoaster, but it took some persuasion to get them on Space Mountain, which ended up being one of Stephanies favorites and an often requested ride.

At MGM my mom and I wanted to go on The Rockin Rollercoaster and The Tower of Terror, which were two of our favorites, but Leah refused to go on both and Stephanie only would go on The Rockin Rollercoaster, so we had Steph come with us and Mark and Leah were to wait till we got off and then to take Stephanie with them to see the Playhouse Disney show. After we got off the Rockin Rollercoaster Stephanie said she loved it, so we went on again, we ended up not being able to see Mark or Leah so we forced Stephanie to come with us on the Tower of Terror, and of course she loved it, we didn't get Leah to go on it with us that day, but the next time we were there we all went on the Rockin Rollar Coaster and the Tower of Terror and she loved them both as well.

Fantasia was closed the entire time we were there, which was a shame because I love that show, but thats the way it goes I suppose.

Animal Kingdom was pretty good, they added a new rollercoaster since we had last been there called Mt. Everest. It's pretty calm at first only going up and down a little and then you get very high up and you stop seeing the track is all torn up and then you go down this different way than you came up, and its dark and you go down backwards, and at one point when you are going forwards you see the Yeti, it is kind of cool and a very fun ride, Leah loved it, (that was what we used to persuade her to go on the Rockin Rollercoaster.

Now, last but certainly not least, EPCOT. EPCOT is very fun, you of course have the technology ride in the big ball and the test track which are fun rides but the really fun parts are the countries and a new thing they had that went along with the movie Finding Nemo. They had a ride that you go through and you see real fish too, but the cool part was called Turtle Talk with Crush. People enter a room and everyone sits down with all the kids in front and there is a big screen in front of you, and you see Crush come onto the screen and he talks to the audience, and to specific people, he'll refer to the little dude in a yellow shell, and a person will come over to the little boy with a yellow shirt and hand him a microphone so he can ask a question about the turtle world. It was so cute, there was this little boy that got called on and he was little and couldn't talk clearly so no one understood what he was saying, and Crush just said "Not a clue what you're saying little Dude". Crush also went off the screen and said he found something from the human world and wan't us to identify it so he came back with a bikini top on and he asked what it was and when someone explained that it was a bikini that girls wear to swim in he gave us a funny shocked look, and eventually said he had a personal question for us, and then he asked if it made him look fat lol. That was a very entertaining thing, and everyone loved it.

The countries were very cool, it is awesome visiting all the little shops, and I purchased a few gifts there. My favorite country was France, because I take french and they have the best desserts ever there. I taught my mom how to correctly pronounce the names of the desserts in french. The hardest being Pralieneige, which she ordered several times, the one person was very impressed and said that she was the first person in a while that could pronounce it correctly. The best place to buy stuff was the Chinese place, they had a lot of cute things, and also the japanese place had some interesting things. It was tons of fun looking at all the interesting things from other countries.

I'm sure I'm leaving out tons of info because I tried to make this a shorter post, so you may get another post soon on things I forgot to mention! Oh, and of course here are some pictures below!

Loving Everyone Always Forever

I agree that this was very long. But I will retaliate with a long comment! Mwahahaha!

Mark asked my mom if it would be another dreams and wishes thing, he sounded exasperated... That sounds like my dad!

Of course we had to go on the It's a Small World Ride, Mark isn't extremely fond of this ride... Again, my dad and Mark have a few things in common...

One of our favorite things... was... Mickey's Philharmagic 3-D show.... I loved this one. You hadn't seen it before? Wow. For as often as you go to WDW, I'm impressed.

I was the all-time reigning champion [at the Buzz Lightyear ride], with the high score of over 400,000 points... Wow. That is good. I think I was the only one in my family who broke 100,000... and it wasn't by much...

We forced Stephanie and Leah on rides... Sounds familiar...

Leah didn't want to go on [the haunted house],... she went and didn't think it was that scary. That's one ride I can actually tolerate. Of course, we got the "fat" ghost in our car again for the second trip in a row.

Animal Kingdom... added a new rollercoaster... called Mt. Everest. This was supposed to open in mid-April, but they were ahead of schedule, so it was up and running when we were there in March.

You get very high up and... the track is all torn up and then... its dark and you go down backwards. My brother loved this part.

Of course have the technology ride in the big ball... I think the big ball has a name, Laurel. Anyways, my most vivid memory of Disney is back in 1997 when they had to stop this ride to let a disabled person on, or something like that. Of course, the whole production went on; the cars were just stopped. Ours was stopped on the downward slope where you go backwards, "back down to earth." It must've been only a minute or two, but when you're nine, it feels much longer.

...A new thing they had that went along with the movie Finding Nemo. That must be really new. Of course, some stupid travel agency keeps thinking you can do EPCOT in half a day...

My favorite country was France, because I take french and they have the best desserts ever there. Same here. I only got to spend 10 minutes there, though. Then I came back a couple hours later for the sole purpose of buying that calendar I showed you in my dorm (the one that apparently your French teacher also has). At least I got to say a "merci beaucoup" to the cashier.

[pic 08.jpg] L is for Laurel and Leah...

[pic 16.jpg] And I made you put this one up to be fair to your other sister... P.S.: Where is that alphabet?

Okay, I think I'm done. Toodles!
