Lack of Posting

I could never have imagined how difficult this year was going to be. Of course, I knew it would have some degree of difficulty, that must be expected upon signing up for 9 classes for the first semester (meaning no lunch and no study halls) 4 of those classes are regular classes (A = 4.0) 4 of them are honors classes (A = 4.5) and 1 of them is an AP class (A = 5.0). Since these are high level courses, I suppose I should have expected it to be this difficult. I suppose I just expected to excel academically as I have in the past. This year my grades are not as good as I would hope; however, I know that I will have A's in my 4 regular classes, but I am uncertain about all of my other grades, I fear that I may get a C in a class this year.

This really isn't a good year to have my grades slip with college applications right around the corner. I received my first progress notice this year...that made me very sad, I was hoping to never get one. The good news is that I still have a B in the class (math), the reason for the notice was low quiz/test grades, but my homework was still high enough to give me a B in the class at midterm.

Anyways, because of the heavy homework load, and the difficulty of my classes (thus meaning more studying), and because of all my afterschool activities; my posts have been few and far between. I am; however, going to make a conscious effort to keep you updated!

Wish me luck!

you're doing so much better than i am. i have gym, math, chorus and band as regular classes (i'm so upset about the math) that i'm getting A's in, and on 4.5 class (science) and three ap classes. i'm not getting an A in anything but the four regular classes. i think maybe i pretend to be smart when actually i should just take regular classes. :(

Yeah, 4.5s and 5.0s suck! Or maybe GHS's weighting system did. One of the two...

Anywho, as my dad said to me before I went to college, "I know you have an online presence. Just don't set an arbitrary minimum for yourself to uphold," whatever he meant by that. I am not letting blogging get in the way of my schoolwork, and neither should you. As I've learned, people will check your blog for new posts no matter what.

However, along those lines, please do take care not to ignore this blog for too long. I actually have set an arbitrary minimum goal for myself (emphasis on "goal") of at least once per calendar month. And the way things are going, that seems quite reasonable.

We'll still read. Good luck in your endeavours!
