1 Minute!

For those of my readers that have never seen the Bethel Park High School you can not fully understand the joy that my fellow students and I are feeling! Our school is not, as many high schools are, one building, we have about 8 buildings...give or take a few. It is exceedingly difficult to get from class to class, with the combination of too many people in the halls, all those people walking too slowly, classes being too far apart, and just plain not enough time, it is near impossible to avoid tardiness to some classes. The last two years that I have been in high school we have had 5 minutes between classes, and even this was a stretch sometimes, making ti difficult to stop at lockers, or even to get to classes without stopping at lockers.

So this year, we were all very dismayed, at the fact that the administration decided to change the time between classes from 5 minutes to 4 minutes.... Now, 5 minutes was difficult enough! How could they be so dense as to presume that 4 minutes would be enough time! I didn't stop at my locker when I had 5 minutes. So for the past two weeks everyone on the Bethel Park campus has been struggling to make it to their classes.

Now, finally someone had the common sense to look at all the tardies students were getting, and to realize that this 4 minutes between classes was not going to work. YAY! They have decided that beginning on Monday September 11, 2006 we will have 5 minutes between classes once again! When this was announced delight emanated from every student on campus. To think that we could become so happy over something that we once had, that was taken away, and they are just giving it back, we really should not be so thankful, we should be demanding an extra minute, how amazing would that be, I would be able to stop at my locker almost whenever I wanted! How glorious! But, my point, Monday we will have 5 minutes! YAY!

Joy and Rapture!

Luv ya all!

Yay for extra minutes! I was so glad when our high school went from 3 to 4, because even in one building 3 minutes can be hard going from the SE corner of the bottom floor to the NW corner of the top floor (and I did that every day for a whole year).

Of course, now I'm at college. There aren't any bells, so sometimes my Chem professor runs over, cutting into the 10 minutes I have to get to my Calculus class on the 10th floor of a building three blocks away. I think the only time I've been "on time" to Calc was when I was in the same elevator as the professor on the way up. Oh, well.
