Silver Ring Thing

Sunday night I attended a program called The Silver Ring Thing. For those who haven't heard about this program the Silver Ring Thing is a sexual abstinance until marriage seminar. They use hilarious skits, movie clips, teen speakers, adult speakers and other propaganda to convince teens to hold off on having sex until marriage. While at the Silver Ring Thing you will find yourself laughing hysterically, and (if you are an emotional and highly caring person) on the verge of tears. Teens share their own stories about how they got involved with the Silver Ring Thing, and the whole seminar is motivational. At the end it you so choose you may buy a ring inscribed with "1THES4:3-4" This is the bible verse talks about sexual purity. Some of you who haven't been to this program probably think it sounds boring and embarassing. But it is anything but boring, and really after being there for a few minutes you get over being embarassed. (Really if you were embarassed to begin with, that embarassment will end shortly after you have to scream "SEX IS GREAT" at the top of your voice. {Remember I said that this program was supporting abstinance until marriage, after marriage they are all for you having sex, [with the person you married of course!]}) I am a proudly wearing the ring and I would recommend going to SRT if you haven't already! GO SRT!
